I can't believe it's been as long as it has since I've last posted...
The past few months have been crazy! So much has happened...I went to Scotland for two weeks (training for work) and then spent a week on holiday in my favorite city - yep, you guessed it, London. Then I moved into my new place and I'm finally getting back in the swing of things at work, life, etc.
However, while I was gone, I experienced quite a few NEW things in London (which is always nice) and I wanted to share these with you. I'm also working on a 15 Tips & Tricks to Saving Money in Europe article that I think you budget friendly travelers are really going to enjoy.
For this particular post, I want to focus on 5 places you MUST visit on your next trip to London. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Add them to your list, pronto!
Let's get started...
1. peggy porschen cakes
Peggy Porschen Cakes was a place that I've seen time and time again on Instagram and added it to my list immediately. It is as picture perfect in person as it is on Instagram.
I ordered a caramel, rose tea with two macaroons. Absolute bliss, let me tell ya. Of course, with any popular hot spot, there were quite a few girls come up to the front door and take lots of pictures but other than that - it was adorable. The tea was amazing and the cupcakes looked to die for.
It's located behind Victoria Station at: 116 Ebury St, Belgravia, London SW1W 9QQ, UK
Definitely, definitely, definitely add it to your London list - you won't regret it!
2. The Cereal Killer Cafe
The Cereal Killer Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Camden Lock. It's nestled in the 'flea market' that is Camden Lock and it couldn't be in a better location. With the optional seating out front and the coolest seating in the back *customers only* it can't be beat. It has a range of options from cereal milkshakes to just a normal bowl of cereal. Every kind of cereal you can imagine. I had heard of this place when I was living in London but never got a chance to visit. Now I can say, with absolute certainty, it is a MUST see.
You can find out more about them on their website + their menu!
Borough Market is one of my favorite places to visit in London. If you want cheap food, good finds and a vast variety of things to choose from - look no further than Borough Market. They have juice stands, cheese stands, every kind of food imaginable, flower shops, fragrance shops and more!
A friendly hint, however, is to go during the week if possible (after lunch hour) because it's likely to be less busy. If you go on a weekend (they're closed on Sundays) it'll be mayhem. So, do yourself a favor and pop over there mid-week or so in the morning or afternoon and explore my favorite market!
4. Warren mews
Oh Warren Mews....ironically, when I lived in London - I wasn't SUPER aware of the mews that people were taking an interest in. I knew about the homes in Hampstead Heath and Notting Hill, but hadn't really seen much about the mews. Well, in the year that I've been gone, the mews have completely blown up on social media. I'm sure the people that live in the houses love it, but nonetheless, the mews are popular Instagram photo spots.
I must admit, the only one that I was super excited to see was Warren Mews. The house that is at the entrance is complete house goals if I've ever seen it and the street itself is darling. If I had all the money in the world and could choose wherever I wanted to live - Warren Mews would be my place. Absolutely check it out if you're in the area and add to all of those Instagram posts.
Well there you have it, my 5 MUST see places in London. Add them to your list, immediately, you know you want to...
For more London inspiration, feel free to give me a follow on Instagram - it's typically the focal point of my posts, so you can save as many places as you'd like for when you go to London.
